Highland - Wide Toe Trail Shoes

Customers praised these trail shoes for their wide toe box and exceptional comfort, with quotes like "incredibly comfortable" and "lightweight yet durable." The quick-lace system and arch support received high marks. Some noted foot sliding inside the shoe and stiff soles. A few mentioned they're better for walking than running due to the elastic lacing system.

Very comfortable and WIDE shoes

These shoes are definitely wide-toed. I have had wide shoes before that say they’re wide but aren’t really. If you have wide feet these are definitely nice and wide. They are very comfortable and durable. They are water resistant which I really appreciate. So many shoes are just that soak through canvas these days but not these. This shoe is attractive, comfortable and a good price. I find these shoes to be an excellent value and I would definitely recommend them.

Way roomier toebox than my hiking On Clouds... for better or worse

I ordered these Locfir wide toe box trail runners because I know that wide toe box shoes are generally better for you - and I love hiking, so I figured I'd give these a try.

My go-to hiking / trail-running shoes are my On Cloud Cloudultras, which retail for nearly triple what these do. So right away, the Locfir get a huge advantage price-wise.

First impressions are positive - they feel exceptionally well-made, with no visible seams or glue lines. The colors are rich, the laces feel durable and I'm overall impressed with the build quality.

They're also nice and comfy. I'd venture to say they're 90% as comfy as my On Clouds, which is really saying something.

Unfortunately, I noticed my feet would slide around quite a lot inside the toe box as I hiked around. The sole itself would grip well, but then my foot would slide from side-to-side inside the actual shoe.

So I think they need better insoles that "bond" with a standard sock better. 4/5

Wide toe bed without a wide width

At first glance online, these sneakers appear to be crisp white, but they are actually a very clean, light gray. They feature bright orange accents that my husband was initially hesitant about, but they grew on him and add a nice, modern pop of color. The standout design feature is the rugged, tire-looking outsoles. They provide an edgy, tactical style along with excellent underfoot grip for walking around town.

My husband reports that they fit true to size. The internal cushioning provides great all-day support, making them an excellent choice for a walking shoe or a casual workday. The wide toe bed enhances the comfort without having to buy a wide width sneaker. The lacing issue I don't recommend them for running.... While advertised as running shoes, the design features adjustable elastic bungees instead of traditional, tie-up laces. Because you cannot tie them to create a tight, locked-in fit, your feet will slide around during a run. High-intensity training requires a much tighter lockdown to prevent injury. He hasn't used them hiking so I can't speak to whether or not they would work well for a hike.

Nice design and color, can be used for light hiking

The first thing that caught my attention was the wide toe box made for wide feet; the toes spread out while walking and don't get squeezed at all, so I found the fit successful in that regard. Coming to the comfort issue, it is not an extremely comfortable shoe that makes you feel like it's not even there, but it doesn't have a stiff or rubbing structure either; it offers a totally average comfort. The grippy structure of the outsole holds up quite well on dirt and stony paths, it doesn't slip easily. The material also looks resistant to light splashes. Thanks to its practical laces, it can be put on and taken off quickly.

Great shoe

After wearing these a couple a couple of times there were many things to like. They were very comfortable and gave stable support while hiking a short trail. We found the arch support was sufficient and the wider toe offered space and comfort for the feet. The soles are thick to provide an extra barrier for impact. The bottoms are sturdy and “grippy” to add traction-less slipping/sliding
The best feature was the easy slip on and the pull lace for tightening. Good for older folks that are active but have trouble with hand dexterity. A versatile shoe that can fit most activity levels.

More comfortable than most name brand running shoes

Wow i got these not expecting much from them but so far the comfort is unmatched by some of the name brand shoes i have worn. I really like the zip tie idea to replace the typical shoe lace method of securing the shoes on my foot. Just sit and pull the zip cord mechanism and you are ready to go. These have excellent traction and not a bad price to pay making it very competetive with the name brands

Excellent Trail Shoes with Great Arch Support

These trail shoes have really impressed me! The arch support is excellent — way better than I expected from the description. The insole has a nice contour that supports my feet perfectly. The build quality is solid for the price point, and they hold up well against much more expensive name brands. I've taken them on several trail hikes now and they perform great on varying terrain. Comfortable, supportive, and well-made. For the price, these are an absolute steal!

A Great All Around Practical Sneaker That Is Super Comfortable

Giving feet a little extra space for toe splay is an overall healthy option to increase stability and balance. When on your feet for hours it is a simple way to alleviate unnecessary stress on foot joints and muscles. Locfir has designed an all around shoe (sneaker) that is extremely comfortable, easy to put on and very sharp looking. Everybody likes happy feet, it keeps us active and just makes everything we do more enjoyable.

The gusset keeps the tongue in place without any added bulky feeling. It also helps keep out dirt and debris to prevent that “pebble sensation” under the foot. A built in quick lace up design and extra width makes this sneaker easy to slip into when on the go. Standard spring toggles on the laces are rather effortless to squeeze and secure firmly to desired tautness. During vigorous activity they keep the corded laces cinched. There is little to no elasticity in the laces and they are rather long, the excess length can be tucked beneath the laces easily.

An internal heel counter keeps the heel in place and reduces side-to-side movement. The heel padding (collar) is snug, cozy and adequately prevents heel slip or lift that could cause blisters and excessive rubbing. After a long day of wear, the uppers are quite breathable and sufficiently reduce excessive foot moisture and overheating. The arch support is primarily from the inner sole which can be removed and replaced with specialized insoles for more custom support.

With a mid range heel-to-toe drop this sneaker transitions perfectly from a leisure to active lifestyle without compromise. My husband enjoys the versatility of wearing the same sneaker for a morning workout and then off to a busy work day at the office. They look great with shorts, jeans and khakis, one shoe for many occasions.

The black rubber outsoles are extremely impressive, quite the grip for added traction on all types of surfaces whether wet or dry, rough or smooth. They feel durable, provide extra “lift” along with stability and shock absorption while keeping the sneaker very lightweight. There is nothing quite like the elevated psychological boost from a new pair of shoes. A great all around practical sneaker that is super comfortable.

Locfir Men's Wide Toe Box Trail Running Shoes, Quick-Lace Hiking Sneakers with Arch Support

Locfir Men's Wide Toe Box Trail Running Shoes, Quick-Lace Hiking Sneakers with Arch Support

These shoes are a great option if you want something comfortable right out of the box, especially if you need a little more room in the toe area. The wide toe box makes a noticeable difference and helps the shoes feel less restrictive than a lot of standard trail or walking shoes. I also like that they have a sporty look without being too bulky, so they work well for hiking, walking, casual wear, or even just everyday errands when you want something supportive on your feet.

What I appreciated most is that they feel practical and easy to wear. The quick-lace system is convenient, especially if you don’t want to keep dealing with shoelaces coming undone, and the arch support gives them a more comfortable feel for longer wear. Overall, they strike a nice balance between comfort, function, and convenience. If you need a lightweight outdoor shoe with a roomier fit and easy on-and-off design, these are definitely worth considering.

Lightweight, Extremely Comfortable, and Built to Last

While these may not carry a big, famous brand-name logo, they perform so well that they easily stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the high-end competition. If you are looking for a reliable pair of athletic sneakers that offer maximum comfort without making you pay a heavy premium just for a brand name, these are an absolute hidden gem. They easily earn a full 5-star rating for their incredible craftsmanship, comfort, and build quality.

The standout feature right out of the box is just how remarkably lightweight and breathable they are. They don't weigh your feet down at all, making them ideal for long-distance walks, daily runs, or high-step workdays where foot fatigue usually sets in. The interior cushioning feels plush and supportive, cradling your foot to take you that extra distance without causing hot spots or blisters.

The overall quality control and construction are top-tier. The stitching around the mesh upper, eyelets, and sole is neat and durable, holding up remarkably well to daily wear and tear. They feel sturdy, flexible, and well-balanced, giving you great grip and a smooth stride. If you value real-world performance, comfort, and solid craftsmanship over a flashy logo, these shoes are a fantastic find that will definitely keep your feet happy for miles.

Practical, dependable, comfortable

These shoes are a fantastic find! They are true to size, but also they fit very well, meaning there's no gaps or spaces that could lead to chafing or blisters. The material of the shoe actually surrounds the foot in a comfortable and supportive way.

Which makes this a shoe you know you can depend on all day long, even when the day seems never ending and you don't have a minute to sit down. These shoes won't have you clamoring for a chair, you'll still feel fine even during an 18 hour workday.

These shoes are practical in addition to being comfortable. They are easy to get on and off, even while standing up, and untied shoelaces won't be an issue with the pre tucked lace design that is adjustable for varying tightening and loosening needs.

These shoes are high quality and it shows. The fabric is breathable, and with regular cleaning and maintenance they won't give off that typical shoe odor, even with daily wear.

But my favorite thing about this shoe is it can be matched with practically every type of look, from business casual weekdays to wherever outdoor adventures take you Saturday, Sunday, and more! They are fashion forward and on trend, but still offer a neutral and classic look, making it work overtime for your wardrobe so you don't have to.

I would absolutely order these shoes again, as I believe the quality is unmatched. They are an excellent value for your money and I recommend them for sure!

Great Shoes

So far these have been fantastic! I have a wide foot and the wide toe box is a game-changer — no more cramped toes. They're incredibly comfortable and easy to slip on. The quick lace system was a little different at first but now I absolutely love it — so convenient and secure. The cushioning is excellent and they look great too. Best trail shoes I've owned!

Wide rugged toebox hiking shoe.

Locfir men's shoes have a nice wide toe box which is hard to find in a many shoes. They have a elastic draw string lacing system that is easy to pull on and off and requires no tying. They have a nice rugged look, with a thick bulky heel. My son has very sensitive wide feet and the arches weren't quite in the right place for his feet and were very comfortable for him. The soles are stiff and don't flex very easily. Overall he was not a fan and won't be wearing them.

this shoe works well for my every day jogging sessions

Finding a new clothing brand is always a fun experience, and when its an athletic shoe, I always hope its during the summer that the discover occurs.
This summer i have been lucky to discover the Locfir athletic shoe. This review is about a new variation that is similar to another shoe form this brand that I ordered on an earlier date.
This jogging shoe has the same feature i liked about that last variation which is that there is a heightened level of cushioned material on the left as well as the right sides. That is what it feel like while jogging outdoors in them. The sides seem to have a special design, that understands the importance of having room on the sides, and not having it too rubbery there.
Often, jogging shoes focus too much of the rubber sides and bottom which then caused me soreness. This Locfir shoe did not cause me any discomfort during the breaking in phase. At first, I was worried the construct was too light, then quickly realized the form of the shoe stays intact. What I mean by that is the basic sturdiness, other that some light stretching, remains the same.
The price of this is not bad at all, considering the materials its made from are of a good quality.
I never expect any shoe to be water resistant, however being able to deflect a light drizzle of rain then to be able to dry out easily is what I look for. This shoe does dry out fairy easy, because I was caught up in a light rain for a few minutes. The outside material seemed to bounce most of the water off anyway.
This has been a great second buying experience from this brand.

All day comfort and support

These shoes have turned out to be an excellent combination of comfort and practicality. Right out of the box, they felt lightweight and required very little break-in time. The wide toe box gives your feet plenty of room to move naturally, while the arch support provides enough cushioning to stay comfortable during long walks or a full day on your feet.

One of my favorite features is the quick-lace system. It takes just a second to get a secure fit, and there's no need to constantly stop and retie loose laces. It's a simple feature, but one that quickly becomes something you appreciate every time you put the shoes on. The outsole also provides dependable traction on a variety of surfaces, from sidewalks and gravel paths to light hiking trails, giving me confidence wherever I'm walking.

The breathable knit upper keeps the shoes comfortable without feeling overly warm, and the reinforced overlays offer a little extra protection from damp grass and light rain. Overall, these shoes strike a great balance between athletic comfort and everyday versatility. Considering the quality of the construction, thoughtful design, and all-around performance, they offer excellent value for the money and have become one of my go-to pairs for daily wear.

Quality Well made shoes!

Absolutely wonderful shoes! I wear an 8.5 wide and have a copus amount of feet issues that cause my gait to be off and for me to be more clumsier than normal. I also have Calcaneal Inversion ( meaning that my left foot does not rotate on the axis as it should when I move ) These shoes have been a lifesaver. Not only are they really well made shoes, but the sole is sturdy and the fabric does not cause issues when I walk. It has helped my gait substantially! They have this wire fastener that I'm not to crazy about but it does make quick work of tightening or loosening up my shoes! They look nice with just about any outfit and do not cause any pain with extended wear!

COMFORTABLE

These trail running shoes are extremely comfortable, especially for anyone who prefers extra room in the toe area. The wide toe box allows natural foot movement while still providing good support and stability. I was impressed by the grip on different surfaces, including gravel paths and damp trails. The quick-lace system makes them easy to put on and adjust in seconds. They feel lightweight yet durable, making them a great option for hiking, walking, or everyday outdoor use.
