Canyon - Wide Toe Trail Shoes

I rolled the dice on these, and I'm very glad that I did. I've been going through trying shoe after shoe, reading reviews and had recently had to return several because for some reason, the sizes seem to fit differently from those of the same brand, that I purchased just a few years ago. Anyway, all that being said, these are only a little less comfortable than some of the more orthopedic inclined, and expensive shoes, that I had recently purchased just months before these. Which was a very pleasant, but at the same time somewhat frustrating find, after all the effort I put into going through such a hunt. lol And they are as comfortable, as they are they look great looking. This blue color is totally one that I could pick as an article of clothing outside of the shoes. And I've gotten multiple compliments when I wear them, so these aren't going to be worn to do yard work, but for when I want a nice casual look when running around. And the price point when I got these seems pretty fair for how good they feel. Of course, only time will tell how they stand up to wear over the next couple of years.

I was really surprised by how much I like these Locfir branded sneakers. Here are my observations in no particular order.
1. Like I said in my title, these are by far the most comfortable shoes I now own. I did not expect that. They are my new walking shoes. My old favorite name brand sneakers (with the three stripes on them) have officially been replaced. They are light weight, super cushioned, and quality made.
2. My one major complaint is that the offered colors are not to my liking. I chose the black variety and they look really good, but I’m not a fan of the almost glow in the dark green highlights. That’s just me though. I’m 54 years old. I prefer tame looking shoes that don’t scream look at me. That said, the black shoes are by far the most tame looking of the bunch.
3. These shoes are well made. No loose threads, all sewn well, quality materials. Built to last and durable.
4. They fit perfectly. I wear a 10.5 and the 10.5 are spot on. No break in period. They fit well and were comfortable and wearable the first day. Plus, that extra room in the toe box is wonderful. You can’t see the extra room from the outside, but you can feel it while wearing them.
5. These are advertised as trail running shoes. While they are very light and comfortable, they are still definitely a tiny bit more beefy and durable than just a plain old pair of running shoes. I like that.

I not sure if this new brand can compete with the big boys, but now having tried them myself, I can honestly say that they are surprisingly good. 👍 I do wish they would just make them in an all blue variety and not some funky blue with extra neon colors like you might see on a more fashion forward brand.

Overall it's a pretty decent shoe. They are comfortable and fit better than an average narrow shoe but they are not really as wide as I expected for an advertised wide shoe. They seem to run slightly small so maybe if I ordered a half or full size up they would have been perfect but it seems like the toe box, while not "small" just isn't as large as I would expect for a wide shoe. They would be good for walking, and maintained trails and maybe running but I wouldn't think of these as a go to running or trail/hiking shoe. They are lightweight and seem well made and do have more arch support than a regular shoe. I would think of these as a good gym shoe but not as rigid as I would like for a trail runner.

As someone with wide feet who has spent years squeezing into standard width shoes and paying for it with discomfort, finding these has been a relief. The 2E wide construction is genuine — the extra room runs the full length of the shoe, not just at the toe box, which makes a real difference during longer runs and hikes when feet naturally swell a bit.
The cushioning is excellent. The Phylon EVA midsole absorbs impact well on rocky and uneven terrain without feeling spongy or unstable underfoot. I've worn these on a mix of trail runs and longer hikes and my feet feel noticeably less fatigued at the end compared to previous shoes I've used. There's also a good energy return on the uphill stretches that I didn't expect at this price point.
Despite that cushioning, the shoes are genuinely lightweight. They don't feel like trail shoes — they feel more like a performance running shoe that happens to handle technical terrain. That combination of cushion and low weight is hard to find and these get it right.
The grip is where these really stand out. The 43 multi-directional lugs bite into loose dirt and gravel confidently, and on wet rock they held traction where I would normally have to slow down and pick my footing carefully. Whether climbing, descending, or navigating muddy stretches, the outsole inspires real confidence.
The gusseted tongue keeping debris out is a bonus I didn't expect to appreciate as much as I do. A great all-around trail shoe, especially for wide-footed runners who've struggled to find something that truly fits. Highly recommend.

I am always on the hunt for shoes with a genuinely wide toe box because I have a bunion that gives me trouble, and sometimes I end up buying men's shoes because they tend to be roomier. These checked that box immediately. The toe area is truly wide and comfortable, but the shoe doesn't have that oversized wide-shoe look that I usually try to avoid.

I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they were right out of the box. Despite the substantial sole, they feel fairly lightweight on my feet and not clunky at all. They fit true to size for me, and I like the way the laces pull everything together for a secure fit without feeling tight around the ankle.

The stability is excellent. I feel a little taller in them because of the thicker sole, but in a good way. They feel supportive and steady when walking, and the arch support is noticeable without being uncomfortable. The mesh upper is breathable, which is always a plus during warmer weather.

I also just love the look of these shoes. The purple color is beautiful, and the yellow accents on the laces and heel give them a fun pop of color. The reflective details are a nice touch as well.

As someone who spends a lot of time on my feet, comfort and support matter more to me than almost anything else, and these impressed me. They're marketed for running, hiking, and walking, and while my knees may not let me test them to their absolute limits, they've been great for everyday wear so far. I especially look forward to wearing them on long days when I'm out running errands and doing a lot of walking.

For what you get, I think these are very fairly priced. Between the comfort, support, stability, wide toe box, and attractive design, they offer a lot of value. I would definitely recommend them.

I feel like I'm walking on a care bear cloud when I'm wearing these. I work at a standing desk and have had them on for several 8-hour days and they feel great. They ran true to size for me. I do not have a wide foot but I find that they still work well for walking and running if I cinch up the laces. The rugged treads are good for off-roading but don't feel too bulky for casual wear, either. I have gotten several compliments on them, and have found that I enjoy having a brand name that confuses my friends. People comment that the style is similar to a certain well-known athletic shoe. So you can have it either way with these - embrace the Locfir uniqueness or roll with the illusion of a large name brand.

These Men's Wide Toe Box Trail Running Shoes Lightweight Cushioned, Non Slip Outdoor Hiking Sneakers with Arch Support, Breathable Cross Training Athletic Walking Shoes for Men are excellent. I got them for my son. He immediately liked the wider toe box. They are comfortable and they look smart, especially in summer with light color socks. These sneakers appear to be of quality construction.
The one issue I have with these is the logo. Why would they put "Locfir" on the side of the shoe and on the tongue? We solved that problem by carefully covering the logo on the heal with black permanent marker. The logo on the tongue is mostly covered by the shoe laces, so we left it alone. Otherwise, I cannot imagine having him go to school with that printed on his shoes...
Beyond the visible logo, these are very nice looking sneakers, the sizing is accurate, and they are comfortable. These sneakers are fairly light, as well. I would buy these again for my son- he likes them that much. At $50 ish, they are a good value - he alternates these with other major brands and likes them equally. That said, these are nice to wear for school, but I'm told they are less comfortable in terms of performance (running or other athletics). If you're looking for a casual wide sneaker for every day wear that looks smart and doesn't take a whole paycheck, these are an excellent option.

I’ve been wearing these shoes for a while now and overall I’m very happy with them. The cushioning is excellent, making them comfortable for long walks and everyday wear. The sole provides good support and shock absorption, and the shoes feel stable on different surfaces. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the sizing. I normally wear a size 12 Wide, and that size fits me well in most brands. I ordered the 12 Wide in these shoes, but they feel a little tighter than expected, especially around the middle of the foot. They’re not uncomfortable, but they don’t feel quite as roomy as other 12 Wide shoes I own. After some wear they’ve become more comfortable, but I still think they run slightly small for a wide-width shoe.

If you’re looking for a comfortable walking or hiking shoe with good cushioning and support, these are definitely worth considering. Just keep the sizing in mind, especially if you have wider feet or prefer a little extra room. Overall, a very good shoe and a solid value for the money.

These trail shoes have been a fantastic find! The toe box is roomy and comfortable, exactly what I needed for longer runs and hikes. I got these for my son and they’ve been great so far. The wide toe box gives his feet plenty of room, which makes them really comfortable, especially for longer wear. Great wide shoes, I got them for my brother and he right away mentioned how comfortable they were. They do have a thicker sole which adds maybe an inch to your height which could be a nice plus.
